Dr. Brunett is Impact Award recipient

Patrick Brunett, MD, FACEP, Associate Professor, Department of Emergency Medicine, is the recipient of the Council of Emergency Medicine Residency Directors (CORD) 2011 Impact Award. The award is presented by CORD for outstanding contribution to the organization and advancement of the specialty.
“I was thrilled to receive this award!” said Dr. Brunett. “It is indeed an honor, and given the amazingly talented people who have received it in the past, I am truly humbled.”
Dr. Brunett is the Section Chief for Education, and Director of the Emergency Medicine Residency Program at OHSU. He is also Chair of the SOM Curriculum Committee and serves on the Community Health Physician Advisory Group for OHSU.
According to their website, the purposes of CORD are: 1) To improve the quality of emergency medical care; 2) To establish and maintain high standards of excellence in emergency medicine training programs; 3) To enhance the quality of instruction in emergency medicine training programs; and 4) To improve the communications between the faculty of emergency medicine training programs.
