The gift of a White Coat Share This OHSU Content

One of the biggest and most memorable steps in the career of every physician is the day they wear their white coat for the first time. At OHSU, this solemn event occurs during orientation week for first-year students in August.

Part of the School of Medicine tradition is for alumni, faculty and friends to support the White Coat Ceremony by making a gift of $100 to sponsor a new medical student. Each gift lets our students know that they are part of the School of Medicine family.

This August, a new class will don the white coats, take the Oath, and embark on their personal paths of service through medicine. Each will have their own story of sacrifice and achievement. Each deserves our encouragement and applause!
