Motion-graphic about GME

The Association of American Medical Colleges recently created a motion-graphic to explain the policy behind the growing shortage of residency positions for medical school graduates. In under four minutes, it compares the number of medical students applying for residency positions and the number of available residency positions. Check it out on Vimeo.

The video asks that Congress expand federal GME support before it’s too late to fix the doctor shortage, and issues a call-to-action urging viewers to have their Members of Congress cosponsor AAMC-supported bills to increase the number of residency positions (H.R. 1201, H.R. 1180, and S. 577).
