Bookmark it! New web portal offers one-stop browsing for faculty development offerings

fdpage61512The School of Medicine Office of the Dean has created a website that collects faculty development offerings across OHSU. The site —— is a response to the many comments the Dean's Office has heard from faculty about not knowing where or how to access programs and events that help advance their career.

One of the many features of the site is a tool which allows people to subscribe to upcoming faculty development events. At a click of a button, a week's worth of events will be delivered to any designated email address. (See below for how to do this).

"The School of Medicine is committed to supporting faculty success. We are making real progress on both providing faculty development programs on campus, and now, also ensuring everyone has access to and knowledge about these opportunities. I encourage you to bookmark the site and learn how to subscribe to this calendar information," said Patrice Eiff, MD, Interim Associate Dean for Faculty Development and Professor and Vice Chair of Academic Affairs in the department of Family Medicine

In addition to the online calendar of upcoming events, there are also resources listed for educator and research skills, mentoring, leadership and other programs. The site includes events offered from the School of Medicine as well as the Office of the Vice President for Research, the Center for Diversity and Inclusion, the Office of the Provost, Oregon Clinical & Translational Research Institute and others across campus. The site also provides a host of tools that allow faculty and others to have notifications sent to their email box about new offerings or reminders of events of interest.

If you have an event to add to the calendar or suggestions to improve the site, please contact Rob West in the Office of the Dean (
