Seminar Series at School of Dentistry
Several dates for the new Dean’s Seminar Series at OHSU School of Dentistry, designed to bring nationally-recognized researchers to campus and stimulate discussion and collaborations, have been selected for the 2014-2015 academic year, said Associate Dean for Research and Professor of Integrative Biosciences David Morton, Ph.D.
The dates of Oct. 24 and Jan. 6 have been selected for the second year of the dean’s series, and speakers identified. Brian Lee Schmidt, M.D., Ph.D., D.D.S., professor in the departments of plastic surgery, otolaryngology, surgery, and neurosurgery and physiology at NYU College of Dentistry, is the speaker for Oct. 24, and Michael Gold, Ph.D., professor of anesthesiology and associate director of the Center for Pain Research at the University of Pittsburgh, is the speaker for Jan. 6. The seminars are from noon to 2 p.m.
December 12, March 31, and June 9 are tentative dates for additional seminars.
All OHSU faculty, students, and staff are welcome to attend the Dean’s Seminar Series at OHSU School of Dentistry, located in the Oregon Dental Association Lecture Hall (Atrium) in the OHSU/OUS Collaborative Life Sciences Building on South Waterfront.
