Message from the Dean
I can't think of a better place for dental education than the 112-year-old Oregon Health & Science University School of Dentistry!Our faculty and staff are committed to providing an exemplary learning experience for students in a nurturing and caring environment.
The OHSU mission areas of patient care, education, research, and public service are all reflected in the School of Dentistry's curriculum.OHSU's main campus -- which includes the Schools of Dentistry, Medicine, Nursing, and Pharmacy, as well as the OHSU hospital and many clinics -- sits atop Marquam Hill in the beautiful city of Portland.Because OHSU educates many health care providers, you will learn dentistry in a collaborative, interdisciplinary environment, which we believe provides the best possible real-world learning experience and the most efficient and effective patient care.
We have a proud tradition of strong clinical excellence and we expect this to continue when we move into our state-of-the-art new facility, now under construction along Portland's South Waterfront. The new facility, atop the OHSU/OUS Collaborative Life Sciences Building, is expected to be complete in the fall of 2014.
