We're Moving Soon!
Oregon’s only dental school is preparing for its move to the Skourtes Tower OHSU School of Dentistry in the OHSU/OUS Collaborative Life Sciences Building (CLSB). Beginning July 1, all clinical operations of the dental school will be re-located, with patient care beginning at the new facility on July 7.
“The Skourtes Tower and CLSB are essentially complete, with the installation of furniture and equipment ongoing,” said Dean Phillip Marucha, D.M.D., Ph.D. “We are looking forward to educating dentists for the future by creating new interprofessional clinical care and research opportunities for our students, provide top-notch patient care, and shaping health care in our region. The Skourtes Tower facilty is going to match the quality of our faculty and students, and it is going to be a fantastic experience for everyone involved.
A training and operations guide for dental faculty, staff, and students on wayfaring and equipment is now being developed. The majority of school equipment is currently being sold or transferred to other OHSU entities. Health professionals interested in a piece of the old school can email firstname.lastname@example.org to find out what’s available for purchase.
The dental school’s patient entrance is to the north of 3030 SW Moody right next to the new light rail bridge—the Tilikum Crossing, Bridge of the People—that will open in September 2015.
