Comprehensive "Hands-On" Study Club

A "Hands On" program designed for motivated family dentists and pedodontists who want to provide expanded and quality services to their patients. In this limited attendance, five, two-day session training participants will learn  the principles of  orthodontics with minimal loss of  productive office time. After completion of this program you will be invited to participate in a follow up Advanced Orthodontic Study Club to provide continuing support of your orthodontic endeavors.  Dr. Friedman will expand your orthodontic horizons, help you develop confidence in your orthodontic skills,  and add a new dimension to the services you offer patients

•  Proper banding and bonding procedures        

•  Transitional & permanent dentition treatment
•  Training in using round & rectangular wire        

•  Modified, controlled Serial extraction
•  Cases to treat- When to refer            

•  Transitional dentition space analysis
•  Use of arch wires, elastics, springs, auxiliaries        

•  Functional appliance therapy and indications
•  Treatment of extraction and non-extraction cases    

•  Removable appliance treatment indications
•  Administration, management & incorporating orthodontics into your practice

Presenter:  Howard D. Friedman, DDS, received his dental degree at New York University and then served a residency in a Veterans Administration hospital.  He earned his graduate orthodontic certification at New York University and served a tour as an orthodontist with the US Army.  He then went into the private specialty practice of orthodontics.  He is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists and the American Dental Association.  For many years, he was a delegate to the State House of Delegates.  Dr. Friedman has been presenting courses and seminars at Universities across the United States.  This is Dr. Friedman's 20th anniversary of presenting his programs at OHSU.
