LIMITED TO CURRENT CPR CARD HOLDERS
This is a renewal course for the Healthcare Provider Level of Basic Life Support. For you to participate, you must be a current holder of an American Heart Association Health Care Provider card.
The course consists of a review session of BLS techniques (airway obstruction, infant CPR, child CPR, adult CPR, one-rescuer and two-rescuer CPR, and familiarization with a semi-automatic external defibrillator) mannequin practice, and a written examination. Successful completion of this course results in the award of an American Heart Association Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support card valid for up to two years. CPR manual is required and is included in tuition. A Laerdal Pocket Mask will be provided for your use during the class. Please let us know if you wish to purchase one to take with you (additional $20). Please note which session you plan to attend on the registration form.

Speaker: Peter Morita, DMD graduated in 1986 from the Oregon Health & Science University School of Dentistry. He is currently an Assistant Professor at the school with appointments in the departments of Operative Dentistry, Removable Prosthodontics, Fixed Prosthodontics, and Practice Planning. He currently holds the position of Assistant Dean for Patient Services. Dr. Morita is a private practitioner in the OHSU’s Faculty Dental Practice and has been the School of Dentistry’s CPR instructor since 1986.
