This seminar provides information and skills that will increase your ability to talk confidently with patients about possible signs of abuse. In this dynamic, inspirational self-defense seminar you will learn to assess and respond quickly to challenging situations in the workplace. You will:
• Develop skills to work with patients who are fearful or agitated
• Learn to set boundaries and respond to inappropriate behavior
• Gain valuable information about how to recognize and respond to signs of abuse in children and adults
FYI: This seminar involves interactive physical training. Wear clothes that are easy to move in.

Presenters: Katherine White is a second- degree black belt who has taught self-defense and workplace seminars for businesses, colleges, and community agencies for over 10 years. She has a thorough understanding of issues related to child abuse and domestic violence, and is an expert in teaching de-escalation techniques.
Abi Phillips is a dental professional with 30 years experience as a dental hygienist. She is a second-degree black belt and has taught self-defense seminars for businesses, colleges, and community agencies for over 5 years. She is an expert in addressing issues specific to dental professionals and teaching the highest quality safety and communication skills.
