ACLS - Education for Life

Saturday & Sunday, February 27-28, 2010 provided by Education for Life

The ACLS Provider Course is designed to teach providers the knowledge and skills needed to evaluate and manage the first 10 minutes of an adult VF/VT arrest. Students are expected to learn to manage 10 core ACLS cases: respiratory emergencies, 4 types of cardiac arrest (simple VT/VF, PEA and asystole), 4 types of pre-arrest emergencies (bradycardia, stable tachycarda, unstable tachycardia and acute coronary syndromes), and strokes.

Core Elements:

 • Recognition and therapy of the major ACLS emergency conditions, including heart attack, stroke, airway management and electrical therapy.

 • Simulated team resuscitation.

 

Audience: General Dentists and Dental Specialists

• Designed for healthcare providers with the appropriate medical background who have a duty to respond to medical emergencies. This would also include: Paramedics, Doctors and Nurses as well as some Respiratory Therapists and Pharmacy Technicians.

 • HCP CPR is part of our curriculum.

Participants must come to class prepared.

Required Text Book:  You must have the AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support, Professional Provider Manual ($40 value).  

Certification card issued upon successful completion.
