Brief Professional Resume

Dr. da Costa joined The OHSU School of Dentistry faculty in 2004 after completing postdoctoral work at the University of Iowa. She is an assistant professor in the Department of Restorative Dentistry.

Teaching Activities: She lectures to the first-, second-, third-, and fourth- year students in the Restorative Dentistry department. She is also director of the Sophomore pre clinical courses.

Research Activities: Dr. da Costa’s primary interests are in adhesive, tooth whitening, composites, esthetics, and caries prevention. She has published several abstracts and articles.

Clinical Activities: Dr. da Costa teaches the Junior and Senior students in the clinic. She currently practices in faculty dental practice. Her clinical areas of interest focus on minimal invasive dentistry, management of high caries risk patients, and esthetic dentistry.

National Professional Appointments or Activities: Dr. da Costa is a current member of the American Dental Association; the Academy of Operative Dentistry; the International Association for Dental Research; the American Dental Education Association, and CAMBRA.
