2nd Year

Katie Burley Katie Burley

Dr Katie Burley received her BS in General Science and Dental Hygiene from OHSU in 2002. She practiced  dental hygiene in a variety of settings in and around the Portland area. Subsequently Katie returned to OHSU to complete her DMD degree in 2008. Since that time she has been providing comprehensive dental care in a number of remote Alaskan villages. Katie enjoys many outdoor activities including skiing, riding snow machines, fishing, and most recently cycling. Katie is married to Jarid Burley OHSU SOD Class of 2013.

William HuWilliam Hu

Dr. William Hu received a BA in Biology in 2000 from the University of Hawaii at Manoa. He attended OHSU and received a DMD in 2004. Following dental school, he returned to Hawaii and practiced general dentistry for seven years before starting Endodontic residency. He is an avid fisherman and enjoys spending time with his wife, Leila, and pomeranian, Howie.

Gina Savani Gina Savani

Dr. Gina Savani received a bachelor's degree in Biology in 1999 from the University of Scranton. She then attended the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine and received a DMD in 2003. She completed a one year GPR program at Loyola University Medical Center near Chicago.After her GPR, she worked as an associate in a well-established family practice in St. Charles, IL.During the seven years she practiced there, she also spent time working in a dental office in the Albany Park neighborhood of Chicago, a very culturally diverse area and a very busy office.She treated many Spanish speaking patients and many children.It was while working there that she decided to apply for an endodontic residency (not pedo). She has enjoyed OHSU and Oregon and is learning about all of the things that 'Keep Portland Weird'.

Alyson BarnesAlyson Barnes

Dr. Alyson Barnes is originally from Gainesville, FL (go Gators).  She received her undergraduate education at Florida State University (but still go Gators).  After graduation she worked as a researcher and a high school chemistry teacher before deciding to pursue a career in dentistry.  Alyson received her dental degree from the University of the Pacific Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry in San Francisco, CA and then worked in private practice in Massachusetts before deciding to specialize in endodontics.  She loves to cook and eat, and is very happy to be in Portland where the food is delicious!

Stan LinStan Lin

Originally from Portland, Dr. Stan Lin earned a bachelor's degree in Economics from the University of Puget Sound before obtaining his D.D.S. from New York University College of Dentistry in 2008.  Upon graduation from dental school, he relocated to the island of Maui to complete an Advanced Education in General Dentistry certificate through Lutheran Medical Center in 2009.  He remained in Hawaii and practiced as a general dentist for 3 years in a well-established group practice, before beginning his post doctorate Endodontic residency.  He enjoys diving, paddle boarding, playing basketball, and traveling to unique places such as Antarctica.

Ty VaughanTy Vaughan

Dr. Ty Vaughan is originally from Halfway, Oregon.  He attended the University of Washington, where he received a B.S. in Biochemistry and Molecular & Cellular Biology.  He worked in financial services for three years, before going to dental school at the University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine, where after graduation in 2008 he completed a General Practice Residency.  He received the Surgical Resident of the Year Award during his GPR.  Dr. Vaughan worked in general practice in Edwards, CO and Mill Creek, WA before entering the OHSU Endodontic Fellowship.  In his free time, he enjoys outdoor activities, and spending time with his wife, Cathy.
