Dr. Alyson Barnes is originally from Gainesville, FL (go Gators). She received her undergraduate education at Florida State University (but still go Gators). After graduation she worked as a researcher and a high school chemistry teacher before deciding to pursue a career in dentistry. Alyson received her dental degree from the University of the Pacific Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry in San Francisco, CA and then worked in private practice in Massachusetts before deciding to specialize in endodontics. She loves to cook and eat, and is very happy to be in Portland where the food is delicious!
Stan LinOriginally from Portland, Dr. Stan Lin earned a bachelor's degree in Economics from the University of Puget Sound before obtaining his D.D.S. from New York University College of Dentistry in 2008. Upon graduation from dental school, he relocated to the island of Maui to complete an Advanced Education in General Dentistry certificate through Lutheran Medical Center in 2009. He remained in Hawaii and practiced as a general dentist for 3 years in a well-established group practice, before beginning his post doctorate Endodontic residency. He enjoys diving, paddle boarding, playing basketball, and traveling to unique places such as Antarctica.
Ty VaughanDr. Ty Vaughan is originally from Halfway, Oregon. He attended the University of Washington, where he received a B.S. in Biochemistry and Molecular & Cellular Biology. He worked in financial services for three years, before going to dental school at the University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine, where after graduation in 2008 he completed a General Practice Residency. He received the Surgical Resident of the Year Award during his GPR. Dr. Vaughan worked in general practice in Edwards, CO and Mill Creek, WA before entering the OHSU Endodontic Fellowship. In his free time, he enjoys outdoor activities, and spending time with his wife, Cathy.
Dr. Hannah Beatty is originally from Madison, Wisconsin. She completed her undergraduate degree from Northwestern University in Chicago, Illinois. She then moved to Indianapolis where she completed additional dental pre-requisites and worked as an anatomy teaching assistant at IUPUI. After a year in Indianapolis, she moved to Boston, Massachusetts and attended Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, where she received her DMD. Following graduation, she successfully completed a hospital-based General Practice Residency at the Portland VA Medical Center. Before deciding to pursue specialization in the field of Endodontics, she worked as a general dentist in a private practice in northern Virginia and lived in Washington, DC. Dr. Beatty is excited to be back in Portland again and enjoys playing soccer, exploring the food scene, and getting out to Mt. Hood in the winter to ski.
Tina Nguyen received a BS in General Science at Portland State University in 2004. She attended the Oregon Health & Science University School of Dentistry, class of 2009. Tina worked in private practice in the Portland metropolitan area prior to beginning her Endodontic Fellowship at OHSU. She enjoys a variety of recreational activities and sports, in addition to spending time with her friends and family.
Dr. Elizabeth Rose is from Anchorage, Alaska. She attended the University of California, Davis and received a B.S. in Microbiology. She attended the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine for both dental school and as an A.E.G.D. Resident. Her hobbies and interests include skiing, hiking, and spending time with her family.
