Wireless Options Via Hawkeye

Macintosh Hawkeye Instructions
Click on the AirPort radio icon on the menu bar. If AirPort is currently turned off, select Turn AirPort On.

Click on the AirPort radio icon again. Select Join Other Network…

In the Enter the name of the network window, type in hawkeye (in all lowercase) in the Network Name: field. For OS 10.5: in the Security: pull-down menu, select LEAP from the list. Once the Security: setting is changed to LEAP, the window will expand to display the User Name: and Password: fields. Type in your network user ID and password, respectively, in these fields. Place a checkmark on the Remember this network box.

Windows 7 (Non-Domain)
- Start > Control Panel > Network and Internet > Network and Sharing Center > Manage Wireless Networks > click Add button
- Select Manually Create a network profile
- Enter information:
- Network name: hawkeye
- Security type: 802.1x
- check 2 boxes - Start this connection automatically and Connect even if the network is not broadcasting.
- Click Next
- Click Change connection settings
- Select the Security tab
- Under Choose a network authentication method, select Microsoft: Protected EAP (PEAP)
- Click the Settings button
- Check the box for Thawte Premium Server CA in the Trusted Root Certification Authorities list
- Click the Configure... button
- Uncheck "Automatically use my Windows logon name and password"
- Click OK
- Click OK
- Click OK
- Click Close
- A message will appear in the bottom right of the screen that says, "Additional information is needed to connect hawkeye", click it
- Enter the following:
- Username: ohsum01\your user name
- Password: your password
- Click OK
- You should now be connected to hawkeye
