Reciprocal Agreements
Collection Access and Computer Use
The Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU) Library serves as a biomedical information resource first for the University and then for the State of Oregon and the Pacific Northwest region. The collection includes books, journals and reference materials in both print and electronic formats, bibliographic and full-text databases and multimedia in the fields of medicine, dentistry, nursing and the allied health sciences.
COLLECTION ACCESS: In addition to other eligible borrowers, OHSU has reciprocal borrowing agreements with the Orbis Cascade Alliance consortium members and with some other area colleges. Reciprocal agreements entitle eligible users (faculty, staff and students) to check out privileges for materials in the circulating collection barring any restrictions required by the home institutions. Summit Affiliates may check out book in accordance with Summit policies. There is no charge for this service.

COMPUTER USE:The Library online catalog, databases and full-text electronic books and journals are available to all users of the OHSU Library on designated public access workstations located on all floors of the Library. Users may download, print or email bibliographic searches. Laser prints are .10 cents per page and can be picked up at the Circulation Desk. Licensed Oregon health professionals practicing in Oregon are eligible for logins to access some of OHSU's information services remotely. Use of proprietary software such as word processing, spreadsheet, database and graphic design applications and access to secure patient care applications is available only to OHSU users with ID badges.
