Mobile Apps for Clinical Resources

DynaMed Mobile

Users must use a unique serial number to download and use DynaMed for handheld devices. Email dynamedsupport@ebscohost.com to request a serial number for a free download of PDA applications. You must send your request from your OHSU e-mail address. The software supports Android, BlackBerry, and iPhone/iPad from the Skyscape platform. Nursing Reference Center Mobile

Download the Nursing Reference Center app for iPhone/iPad from the iTunes app store. It must then be authenticated:

  1. Log into the NRC interface.
  2. Click the Nursing Reference Center iPhone/iPod Touch Application link at the bottom of the page and enter your email address. An email with an authentication key is sent to you.
  3. Access the email from your device and click the link found in the email to authenticate the application.

You have 24 hours to access the key from your device to authenticate the app. If the key is not used within 24 hours, it expires and you will need a new key.

Note: Once it is authenticated, the app can be used for nine months, after which you must send yourself a new authentication key from the NRC interface.

UpToDate Mobile

First set up a personal username and login with UpToDate, then follow the directions for your device below:

iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch

Search the App Store for "UpToDate" and install. When installation is complete just launch the App. At the prompt enter your UpToDate user name and password.

Android

Launch the Google Play icon (or Android Market or Market) and search for "UpToDate Medical". When the installation is complete just launch the App. At the prompt enter your UpToDate user name and password.
