As part of the M. Lowell Edwards Public History Project, historic objects and documents have been digitized and added to the Digital Resources Library. The Digital Resources Library now includes over 100 digitized items documenting the development of the Starr-Edwards heart valve. These materials are now available to the public for individual study and research.
Included are photographs of Starr, Edwards, and their colleagues; correspondence, manuscripts and notes created by Edwards during the development of the valve; studio images of prototype valves; and university publicity material from the era. These images can be browsed as a group, and are also searchable by keyword.
