Error message when accessing library resources

If you click on a link from the library web site and you see this error or one like it

Go ahead and click on “Continue to this website” (may be worded differently depending on your browser) for that session, but there are several ways to fix this more thoroughly.  


For Internet Explorer (IE)

To install the certificate in IE via the automatic update, visit: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/931125/en-us/. 

For Firefox

To install the certificate manually in FireFox, click on the link to the certificate at http://certs.ipsca.com/Support/hierarchy-ipsca.asp. You will be presented with this dialogue box, and will need to manually check the first box (shown below):

If you wish to perform a manual installation of the certificate in IE, you can do so by also clicking on the same link to the certificate. After opening it, a dialogue is presented that allows Windows users to launch a wizard that will install the certificate into the appropriate place.

Processes for other browsers such as Safari, Opera, and Google Chrome will vary.
