New Resources for Oregon Licensed Health Professionals
10/29/10 Portland, Ore.
As of November 1st, there are new OHSU Library resources available to all licensed health professionals in the state!
Now healthcare providers outside of OHSU have access to:
Medline with full text from EBSCO: authoritative biomedical information, utilizing MeSH indexing to search citations from over 4,800 current biomedical journals and full-text for more than 1,450 journals.
DynaMed: a clinical reference tool for use at the point-of-care, which includes evidence-based, clinically-organized summaries for over 3,000 topics and is updated daily. Also includes calculators and patient handouts.
Alt Healthwatch: full-text articles from more than 180 international and often peer-reviewed journals and reports, focusing on the many perspectives of complementary, holistic and integrated approaches to health care and wellness.
Stat!Ref: cross-searchable, full-text health sciences resources including regularly updated evidence-based medicine databases, as well as bilingual patient information, Stedman's Medical Dictionary, HCPCS (Level II) and ICD-9-CM, Pharmacy & Pharmacology, Dental and Nursing e-resources, and more.
Find: The best way to access these resources is through the web page we've set up for non-OHSU Oregon licensed health professionals at http://www.ohsu.edu/xd/education/library/orhp.cfm.
Access: Access requires a library barcode. If you don't already have a barcode you can apply online, using the Library Barcode Application at http://www.ohsu.edu/xd/education/library/services/forms/barcode.cfm. If you have problems accessing resources, email email@example.com.
