Ebola Health Sector Workers
CUGH Executive Director, Keith Martin extends CUGH's gratitude to those of you who responded to the appeal on behalf of MSF for experienced professionals to assist them in their outstanding work combating the outbreak of the Ebola virus in West Africa. They received a very good response from our members. USAID needs health care workers, and their request can be found here.
CUGH congratulates the US government for their recent significant response to this tragedy. The hope is that other countries will increase their support and collaborate with the US, WHO, MSF, and other organizations to stop the spread of this deadly virus and use this as an opportunity to collaborate with the affected West African countries to build long-term, sustainable health systems.
