As the sole academic health center in Oregon, OHSU’s Center for Ethics is looked to by the media to offer guidance about the challenging clinical ethics issues of our day. Susan Tolle, MD, as Director of the Center leads responses to media requests and is frequently helped by other Center directors and senior scholars.

California Governor Signs POLST Into Law
Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger signed Assembly Bill 3000 into legislative law, ensuring that persons with a serious illness who complete a POLST form will have their end of life treatment preferences honored by health care professionals.
