Ethics and End of Life

The Center for Ethics has long been a national leader in improving care at the end of life, and much of the Center's work in this area focuses on the need to educate health care professionals of all professions in skills and practices that contribute to the dignity and well being of patients with life-threatening illness.

The Miles J. Edwards Program in Professionalism and Comfort Care plays a major role in inspiring and supporting these innovative programs, teaching the skillful art of compassionate care of the dying to medical students and professionals from around the state.
