Queers & Allies in Health Care

Queers & Allies in Health Care (QAHC) is a student interest group at OHSU for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Pansexual, Intersex, and Allied people. We are affiliated both with AMSA (American Medical Student Association) and GLMA (Gay and Lesbian Medical Association). QAHC is open to all students in OHSU schools of Medicine, Nursing, Dentistry, and College of Pharmacy. 

We are dedicated to the following:

  • Support Students – Foster a welcoming, safe, and supportive environment for Sexual Minority students and our Allies.
  • Educate Peers – Raise awareness of LGBTQI issues in health care and facilitate the inclusion of these issues in curriculum.
  • Advocate for Patients – Break down prejudices concerning Sexual Minorities that undermine patient care.
  • Have fun!
