“There is a growing diversity community at OHSU that provides a network of support and will continue to encourage others to join and be a positive influence on our surrounding community.”

Latasha Williams, M.D.
Assistant Professor
Pediatrics

Latasha grew up in Macon, GA and attended Tuskegee University in Alabama. After college, she attended Wake Forest University School of Medicine and completed her pediatric residency training in at Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital at Stanford University Medical Center. Latasha joined OHSU in the summer of 2008, where her main responsibility is seeing patients and families in the Pediatric and Adolescent Clinic at Doernbecher Children’s Hospital. Her position also entails working with the pediatric residents in their continuity clinics and attending in the OHSU Mother Baby Unit, which also allows her time to work with the residents and medical students.

Two of Latasha’s favorite aspects of working at OHSU are the opportunity to take care of a diverse population of patients and the many opportunities to provide outreach to the community. Though she has only been at OHSU for a brief period of time, Latasha has truly enjoyed meeting colleagues from diverse backgrounds all throughout the hospital. She feels the benefits of working in a diverse environment include working with people who view the world differently and who can bring their own ideas and concepts to the table for the greater good of those we take care of and serve that may have different views or backgrounds from our own.
