Donovan, a member of the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe, grew up in Fort Yates, ND. He came to OHSU eight years ago after graduating from the Medical Assisting and Phlebotomy programs at Portland Community College. At OHSU, Donovan contributes to the research efforts of the Smoking Cessation Center by conducting clinical trial recruitment and screening, managing the laboratory and recording data.
Donovan enjoys being a part of OHSU because he knows that he is making a difference through the work that he does. His work reflects his personal dedication to being a good world citizen and community member who helps create a healthier and safer environment for all generations. He appreciates OHSU’s commitment to diversity because it “has created a team of the best, most skilled and educated professionals available to make the university successful.”
