SON Researcher Receives National Grant

Frances Lee-Lin, Ph.D., R.N., OCN, CNS-PI, assistant professor, received an American Cancer Society 2009 grant award of $144,657 for her study, “Targeted Breast Health Educational Program (TBHEP) for Chinese Americans.”
The goals of the study are to develop and test a theory-based and culturally appropriate program to increase mammography screening for Chinese-American women. The results could be modified for other Asian subgroups and help reduce breast cancer disparity among Asian-American women.
