Partnering for Better Health
Tuality Healthcare and OHSU form affiliation to integrate their organizations’ clinical services
The affiliation combines Tuality’s deep community roots with OHSU’s role as a provider of complex and advanced specialty care. As a result, clinical services in Washington County will be enhanced.
Tuality’s clinical operations will be managed by OHSU Healthcare, under the strategic direction of OHSU Partners, a recently formed management company. Tuality will maintain its strong local presence, board of directors, and its employees and doctors. Through the clinical affiliation, the organizations aim to better serve patients in Washington County with a highly coordinated array of services that are expected to expand over time.
Tuality and OHSU first began working together through the Tuality/OHSU Cancer Center, which opened in 2002. Tuality and OHSU share a commitment to creating greater value for patients by improving outcomes, increasing access to care and managing costs.
The affiliation will allow both parties to share in a coordinated approach to clinical operations – utilizing health resources more efficiently than either organization could accomplish independently.
OHSU and Salem Health come together to improve care for Oregonians.OHSU and Salem Health have integrated their clinical operations into a new health system that will be managed by a joint management company, OHSU Partners. The affiliation combines the finest attributes of an academic health center with the best traits of a community hospital system, providing a complete range of services that no single health system could provide on its own.
The collaboration includes OHSU clinical services, Salem Hospital, West Valley Hospital, Willamette Health Partners and other affiliated health care organizations, significantly expanding the clinical capacity and geographic breadth to Oregonians.
The shared vision is to support a world-class, value-based health care system built on a foundation of collaboration and coordination. The affiliation improves access to health care, has the potential to reduce costs by avoiding duplication of services, will support the realization of new population-based health care models, and provides a broader platform for education, research and community service.
Both partners are committed to health care transformation and see the collaboration as an Oregon-based approach to delivering the highest standards of care to patients and the greatest value to the communities served.
