Can you help me with SEO?
There are several things that can be done on a content level to improve page rank:
- Make sure the words most commonly searched appear in the content
- Add relevant terms to the page title and URL
- Add keywords to the metadata for the page (some search engines no longer factor these in)
- Code pages using industry standard best practices (our content management system enforces this)
Advanced search engine optimization for sites like Google, Bing, etc. is typically handled by an outside vendor. Search engines change their algorithms, which are not publicized, so frequently it’s difficult to pinpoint exactly what will move a page up in the ranks. External vendors make it their business to constantly test what’s working and stay on top of industry search engine trends. We’re here for the basics of creating well-structured pages, but advanced SEO requires expertise we’re not staffed for.
