OHSU

Search

We have a number of services to help site visitors find your content on the OHSU website using Endeca, our sitewide search engine. You can create a request for any service using our ticket system.

Subsite Search

Your site is most likely already be set up with subsite search. However, if you look at the subsite search box and it still shows "Search OHSU" instead of showing as a search of your site, then we can set it up for you. Create a request and include a link to the home page of the site.

Optimize Pages for Search

Occasionally, pages in a site may not appear high as you'd like them to in search results. There can be different reasons as to why. We can take a look at your content and give feedback on what you can do to help your pages "rank" better (i.e. appear higher in search results).

Featured Results in Search

Sometimes, even optimizing a page won't get it high enough in results. If you want to have an optimized page featured in results for a keyword term, we can set that up for you. Create a request and tell us which page you want featured in results (include the link), as well as what keyword term(s) it should be featured in. We may review the page first to make sure a featured result is the best way to improve the results.

Promotional Graphics in Search

We can put up to two promotional graphics in search results, so as people look for pages, they will see the promotions in the left column. If you want a promotional graphic to appear in results, then send us a vertical promo, a link to the page that the vertical promo should direct visitors to, and what keyword term(s) should trigger the display of the promo. We'll review the graphic to make sure it fits with our web visual identity guidelines and that it is appropriate for the search.

Featured Program

We can show featured content in the right column of a search results page. If you'd like a program to appear in results for a keyword term, then let us know what you would like to set up and which keyword term(s) you want to trigger the display.
