Element Guide

What is a widget?

Web Strategies refers to any element within a Unified Site template as a widget.  A widget might be as simple as a block of text or as detailed as a module for expanding navigation.

The style (font, colors, formatting, etc.) for each widget is controlled by a set of global OHSU style sheets.

A core set of widgets is available for both HTML and CommonSpot pages.  Elements are designed to be used in all areas of a template where they make sense and are restricted in areas where they don't.  For example, a block of text can be used anywhere on a page; however, the profile widget is available in the body of pages but restricted in narrow columns.
