Class Policies

Payments

Classes purchased with a departmental alias are considered billed (and non-refundable) the day of purchase. Once the class "ticket" has been purchased there is no refund. In the event of a cancellation, the purchased class ticket can be used as credit for a future class.

Absences

An absence is defined as failing to show up for a class that was registered for without prior cancellation or notification.

Students who fail to show up for a registered class without canceling online or notifying IT Training at least one business day prior to the class will forfeit any applicable class fee, and registering for a future class will require a new payment.

Three absences in one six month period may result in one or more of the following actions:

  • Loss of class privileges
  • Notification to supervisor of absenteeism
  • Payment information collected up front for all future classes, free or not
  • An absenteeism charge of $50

Tardiness

Students who arrive 15 or more minutes late to class may be asked to leave and to reschedule. Frequent tardiness is recorded with the student record and may be brought to the attention of the student's supervisor.

Wait List

Wait lists are managed by our TrainingForce class registration system. Students who are on a wait list will be placed in seats as they become available, on a first come first serve basis.

Class Cancellations

The IT Training department reserves the right to cancel a class that fails to meet the minimum number of registered participants (four). Registered participants are notified 2-3 business days prior to the class via email if a class is going to be canceled.

Some cancellation exceptions may be made based on the needs of the learners registered.

Late cancellations due to instructor illness, inclement weather, or other issues beyond our control are communicated via email as well as voice mail, notices are posted at the class location.

IT Training makes every effort to accommodate students who are inconvenienced by canceled classes.

Students may cancel their own registration online at their convenience, up to one day prior to class. For details, see the TrainingForce LaunchPad How-to.
