IP-Only Computers
Under special circumstances, employees sometimes use computers that are connected to the OHSU network, but have configurations that ITG can't support. Employees who use IP-Only computers agree to the following terms:
- The customer is responsible for repairs – ITG does not support IP-Only computers.
- OHSU software may not be compatible with their configuration; however, site-licensed software is available for us on IP-Only computers (see links at the top of this page).
- The customer must ensure compliance with all OHSU information security policies and directives.
- ITG reserves the right to audit the configuration of an IP-Only workstation without prior authorization. ITG will remove it from the network if it is affecting the network's performance or security.
- Customers need to sign an IP-Only Service Level Agreement before an IP-Only computer can be set up. Request a consultation.
Managed and unmanaged computers
IP-Only computers are not managed by ITG. Customers using unmanaged machines do not get automatic software updates and security patches. To find out if your machine is managed by ITG, follow these steps:
- Right-click the My Computer icon on your desktop.
- Select Properties.
- Click the Support Information button. If it shows something like "Windows XP OHSU Release", it is a managed computer.
