ITG supports in-warranty systems that have been approved for use on the OHSU network.
Minimum specs (as of August 2008)
- Processor: Intel Core Solo 1.2GHz
- RAM: 2 GB
- Hard Drive: 60 GB
- Wireless card: Newer Intel Centrino or Apple Airport (wireless card standards)
- Warranty: Four-year warranty, if available
- Screen damage protection plan

- Cable with alarm (separately or through Dell)
- Dell Asset Protection Software
For students
For a student's personal laptop, we also recommend:
- USB flash drive (to back up important documents, such as homework!)
- Anti-virus software
- Warranty that includes technical support over the phone
