Most departments find that the recommended hardware, purchased through Dell or MPC, meets their needs very well. Others buy recommended workstations and have ITG customize them. Since ITG only supports the recommended machines, you should consult with us before you buy non-standard hardware.

Guidelines for IP-Only users
Under special circumstances, employees sometimes use computers that are connected to the OHSU network, but have configurations that ITG can't support. Employees who use these IP-only computers agree to the following terms:
- The customer is responsible for repairs - ITG does not support IP-Only computers.
- OHSU software may not be compatible with their configuration; however, site-licensed software is available for use on IP-Only computers.
- The customer must ensure compliance with all OHSU information security policies and directives.
- ITG reserves the right to audit the configuration of an IP-Only workstation without prior authorization. ITG will remove it from the network if it is affecting the network's performance or security.
- Customers need to sign an IP-Only Service Level Agreement before an IP-Only computer can be set up.
