IP Only Service Level Agreement
Customers are encouraged to consult with ITG Field Technical Services before purchasing non-standard equipment or using non-standard operating systems or software. ITG provides full support for desktop computers that use the OHSU Desktop build. This standard configuration includes a supported operating system, business office automation software, e-mail, a web browser and virus scanning software. These systems support the needs of the vast majority of OHSU faculty and staff.
However, because some specialized computing needs are not met by our standard core operating system and software, OHSU customers may request a connection to our network for a device that is not to be supported by ITG. This is accomplished via the IP-Only Service Level Agreement. ITG will support only the IP connection (a hot jack with an IP address) for these devices. The customer is responsible for all other issues with the device, including hardware, software, updates, and troubleshooting. In particular, the customer must ensure compliance with all OHSU Information Security Policies & Directives.
ITG reserves the right to audit the configuration of an IP-only workstation, without prior authorization, if it is identified as contributing to conditions on the network which compromise operation integrity or functional security and to remove it from the network without notice if is found to be out of compliance.
