Initiative Underway

Over the next several months the Integrity Office and ITG plan to expand safeguards for devices that contain restricted information. This will address requirements from the federal  the  HITECH Act of 2009,  the Oregon Identity Theft Protection Law , and the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996. 

PGP Encryption Software

OHSU policy has been updated to expand encryption requirements across all missions to include all devices that download or store OHSU information.

If you have an OHSU-owned computer and encryption software was not installed automatically, it can be downloaded from software.ohsu.edu

How to download encryption software?

1.Use your OHSU network ID and password to login to the OHSU Software Download Center
2.You must accept the OHSU Download Policies before you are redirected to the download page

3.Scroll down to the bottom of the page

4.Select a Windows or a Mac application

croll through the list and select the PGP Encryption Client
5. Click the Download button
