Radiation Services Pricelist

Prices are updated each year and subject to change at any time based on market costs. Rates depend on radionuclide, volume and hazard class.

Rates at each campus may differ:

CC (Rates for Central Campus RHS Services) / WC (Rates for West Campus RHS Services)

EHRS radiation waste removal and disposal services are for OHSU entities and partners and are not available to leasees of OHSU facilities.

 

Rates for 2012:


Absorbed Aqueous Waste - Aqueous liquid in superfine absorbent in 1 gallon containers for Decay

CC $56.88 per gallon / WC $56.88 per gallon

Liquid Waste -Liquid waste in 1 gallon container for RSO Disposal

CC $21.51 per gallon / WC $21.51 per gallon

Dry Solid Waste - Lab trash, dry refuse.  (Must be segregated by half life)

  • >90 Day Half life or for burial: CC $249.28 per cubic foot / WC $249.28 per cubic foot

  • >15 < 90 day half life for decay: CC $69.84 per cubic foot / WC $69.84 per cubic foot

  • <15 day half life for decay: CC $21.51 per cubic foot / WC $21.51  per cubic foot

LSC Waste - Vials, Plates or Mats

  • Environmentally Safe / Biodegradable LSC: CC $59.05 per cubic foot / WC $59.05 per cubic foot

Additional Radiation Safety Services

 Instrument Calibration - for all portable beta & gamma detector calibration (OHSU departments only)

  • Calibration - CC $41.98 per instrument / WC $41.98 per instrument

  • Additional detector - CC $9.43 per additional detector / WC $9.43 per additional detector

  • Repair parts/Batteries - rates vary based on cost

Dosimetry - fees are charged each month or quarter

  • Film badges: CC $5.05 each

  • Ring badges: CC $5.95 each

  • TLD badges: CC $6.25 each

Radioactive Package Receipt - for screening orders, surveying and administrative tracking of isotopes on campus.

CC $38.37 per vial / WC $38.37 per vial

Cesium Irradiator & X-ray Irradiator - these fees pay for annual repair & maintenance costs to keep the irradiators functional. 

CC $21.05 per use

Lock Box- contact Radiation Safety 

Radiation Safety Labor Rate - 15 minute minimum.

CC $33.21 per hour / WC $33.21 per hour
