Prices are updated each year and subject to change at any time based on market costs. Rates depend on radionuclide, volume and hazard class.
Rates at each campus may differ:

EHRS radiation waste removal and disposal services are for OHSU entities and partners and are not available to leasees of OHSU facilities.

Absorbed Aqueous Waste - Aqueous liquid in superfine absorbent in 1 gallon containers for Decay
- <30 day half life for decay: CC $54.07 / WC $54.99 per gallon
Liquid Waste -Liquid waste in 1 gallon container for RSO Disposal
- >30 < 90 day half life for decay: $18.69 per gallon
Dry Solid Waste - Lab trash, dry refuse. (Must be segregated by half life)
>90 day half life or for burial: CC $414.21 / WC $417.06 per cubic foot
>15 < 90 day half life for decay: CC $67.34 / WC $68.27 per cubic foot
<15 day half life for decay: CC $18.69 / WC $29.43 per cubic foot
LSC Waste - Vials, Plates or Mats
Environmentally Safe / Biodegradable LSC: CC $45.36 / WC $46.29 per cubic foot
Additional Radiation Safety Services
Instrument Calibration - for all portable beta & gamma detector calibration (OHSU departments only)
Calibration - $85.40 per instrument
Additional detector - $9.40 per additional detector
Repair parts/Batteries - rates vary based on cost
Dosimetry - fees are charged each month or quarter
Film badges: $10.37 each
Ring badges: $11.27 each
TLD badges: $11.57 each
Radioactive Package Receipt - for screening orders, surveying and administrative tracking of isotopes on campus.

Cesium Irradiator & X-ray Irradiator - these fees pay for annual repair & maintenance costs to keep the irradiators functional.
CC $40.05 per use

Radiation Safety Labor Rate - 15 minute minimum.
