New Conflict of Interest Disclosure System Coming in Summer 2012
The Integrity Office is currently developing a new Conflict of Interest (CoI) Disclosure System which will streamline all CoI disclosures into one form to be completed annually, housed in Big Brain.
In the interim:
- CoI Research (CoIR) Disclosure forms are not impacted at this time, continue to disclose as usual. You will receive an email from the CoIR management system when your disclosure is due.
- Annual Outside Activity (OA) and Executive CoI disclosures ( the Big Brain CoI module) are delayed and will be completed in the new system.
- Any NEW Outside Activities or potential conflicts for executives that have not already been disclosed in previous years should be disclosed in the current Big Brain CoI module.
Contact the Integrity Office with any questions at 503.494.8849 x 2 or oioeduc@ohsu.edu
This upcoming change means that although the Outside Activity and Executive disclosures are normally due July 30, notices will not be sent out to complete these disclosures until the new system is ready. Stay tuned for more details about the new CoI disclosure system!
DISCLOSURE REQUIREMENTS
All OHSU employees are required to review and become familiar with OHSU’s Conflict of Interest policies. However, only some employees, and anyone engaged in research, need to complete one of the annual disclosure forms.
Do you need to report?
If so which form?
Depending on your role, you may need to complete more than one disclosure - See Below.
Faculty, supervisors, and employees with fiscal authority should complete Outside Activities & Conflict of Interest*
OHSU Board Members and Executives should complete Institutional (Executive) Conflict of Interest*
All those engaged in research should complete Conflict of Interest in Research (CoIR)
*Note: these forms are contained within the Conflict of Interest module in Big Brain
