OHSU, Oregon’s only academic health center, brings together patient care, research, education and community service to improve health and well-being for people in the state and beyond. More than 34 percent of OHSU patients come from outside the Portland metropolitan area, and, as a quaternary care facility, we treat some of the most complex cases with highly specialized procedures and therapies. We are one of two designated Level 1 Trauma Centers in the state, providing specialized emergency care like nowhere else.
