Working with Style

As a workgroup, each team member will learn about their workplace style using the DiSC assessment, a tool that helps teams better understand differences in team members work priorities and workplace behavior. By identifying and learning about preferences, workgroups will be able to harness the collective strengths and increase effectiveness as well as motivation amongst team members. Participation requires completing the 30-minute DiSC assessment online prior to attending the workshop.  Further details provided upon registration.

Who Should Attend?

  • This course is designed for and available to departments by request only (manager attendance is required)  

How will I benefit?

  • Identify your workplace style and work priorities using the DiSC assessment.
  • Increase awareness of how your unique DiSC style may impact others in the workplace. 
  • Develop strategies to work more effectively with styles other than your own.

Training Parameters

  • Must have ten or more employees participating in training.
  • A portion of the employees attending must be AFSCME-represented.
  • Class is 3 hours in length.
