Payment Options & Federal Assistance Programs

Payments Options at the Market

It is possible to use many forms of payment at the OHSU Farmers Market. Each vendor accepts cash, checks, tokens and produce vendors accept WIC/Senior Vouchers. Tokens can be purchased at the Info Booth of the market with either a debit card or Oregon Trail card (SNAP) or at the It's All Good store on the 9th floor of the main hospital with debit, credit or VA vouchers.

Free Money for SNAP/WIC/FDNP  Users

We have exciting news! This year, our matching funds have gone up due to a grant this year awarded by the USDA to the Farmers Market Fund. The new program will be called the Double Up Food Bucks program and will distribute funds to a variety of farmers markets throughout the Portland area to match $1 for $1 up to $10 per SNAP card for FREE! We will also match dollar for dollar all WIC vouchers including both FDNP (Farm Direct Nutrition Program) and WIC Fruit and Veggie Vouchers and Senior FDNP vouchers up to $5 per family per day. Its a very exciting way to help support low income families who want to get fresh, local produce.

Eligibility requires that you are the holder of:

  • An Oregon Trail card (ie: SNAP or other state's Food Stamps program card)
  • WIC fruit and veggie vouchers
  • WIC Farm Direct Nutrition vouchers
  • Senior Farm Direct Nutrition vouchers.
Visit the market's Info Booth to get your tokens and matching dollars! If you are part of a clinic that serves low-income clients, please feel free to email the market manager to request a Double Up Food Bucks poster to let your clients know to ask about these special benefits.
