Additional Labor Distribution topics:
Q: How do I get Labor Distribution (LD) Access?
Fill out an Oracle Non-Self Service Access Form and sign-up for a training class by using TrainingForce. Training is required to receive access.
Q: Why can’t I log into my LD Adjustor responsibility during payroll processing?
The payroll processes are very resource-intensive and take three days to complete in order to meet our payday deadlines. Each payroll run creates hundreds of thousands of distribution lines in the Labor Distribution module, which are then transferred to the general ledger and OGA. If users were in the system during this process, they would consume necessary resources and would see incomplete information. Once the LD Adjustor responsibility is re-enabled, users will see complete and accurate information.
Q: At what times are my LD Adjustor responsibility not available?
Payroll Week: Wednesday at 6 a.m. until noon (or later) Thursday. When there are exceptions (i.e. Holidays), a communication will be sent out by the LD group.
Q: When can I see my LD changes in the data warehouse?
Labor Schedule changes are available the next day. Distribution Adjustments that are approved in the system take 48 hours.
Q: If the employee is in my department but is funded by other departments, will I be able to see the other departments’ funding accounts?
Yes. If you have access to the employee’s home department, you can see all of the employee’s funding sources.
Q: If I fund an employee that is not in my department, can I see their labor info with my LD responsibility?
No. LD security is based on HR Org. You can only see employees that belong to the Orgs that you have access to.
Q: I fund an employee that is under a department that I don’t have access to. How can I make the change?
Request that the other department make the change.
Q: How many decimal places can I use in LD?
LD rounds up to the nearest hundredth.
