OHSU

Oregon Institute of Occupational Health Sciences

The Oregon Institute of Occupational Health Sciences at OHSU (formerly CROET) is dedicated to health and safety in the workforce. The institute's mission is to promote health and safety, and prevent disease and disability, among working Oregonians and their families during their employment years and through retirement. Researchers and educators at the institute do so through world-class basic and applied research, outreach and education.

Oregon Institute of Occupational Health Sciences works in partnership with labor, industry, government and the community. The institute conducts research, trains health professionals, provides consultation, and offers the public information on occupational health and safety through its resource directory and Toxicology Information Center. The institute's scientists and research staff explore a range of questions relating to the prevention of injury and disease in the workforce of Oregon and beyond. While the institute's research receives national and international acclaim, the goal is to create safe, healthy workplaces right here in Oregon.
