Vollum Faculty

Advisory Boards

Vollum faculty were represented on a myriad of advisory boards and committees during 2002–2004:

Wolfhard Almers was a member of the scientific advisory boards for the Howard Hughes Medical Institute and the Max-Planck Institute for Genetics and Cell Biology.

John Scott served as chairman of the John Jacob Abel Award selection committee as well as being an advisory board member for Trellis Bioscience Inc., the Department of Pharmacology at Vanderbilt University, Upstate Biotechnology, and the Biotechnology Center at the University of Oslo.

John Adelman served on the Muscular Dystrophy Association’s scientific advisory and translational research committees.

Roger Cone was a member of the advisory board for Lexicon Genetics.

John Williams was appointed to the external advisory committee for the Center for Structural and Functional Neuroscience at the University of Montana.

Richard Goodman was a member of the National Institute of Diabetes, Digestive, and Kidney Diseases advisory council, responsible for overseeing the extramural program, and the Blue Ribbon Panel responsible for evaluating the NIDDK intramural research.
