The Vollum Institute is a privately endowed research unit of Oregon Health & Science University. OHSU includes the schools of Dentistry, Medicine, Nursing and Science & Engineering (OGI); the Biomedical Information Communication Center; the Center for Research on Occupational and Environmental Toxicolgy; OHSU Hospital, Doernbecher Children's Hospital; numerous
outpatient clinics; Child Development and Rehabilitation Center; and the Oregon National Primate Research Center.
The OHSU Foundation has fiduciary and investment responsibility for the Vollum endowment. Receipt of gifts, funding allocations, and direct expenditures by the OHSU Foundation on behalf of the institute are made in accordance with foundation policies and procedures. The Vollum Institute receives no state funds.
