RP005  Kawaoka

Ebolavirus causes severe hemorrhagic disease in human and nonhuman primates with mortality rates as high as 90%. Currently, no licensed vaccines or antiviral drugs are available to control Ebolavirus infections. Our goal is to understand how Ebolavirus interacts with components of infected host cells and suppresses host cell immune responses. Such knowledge is critical to develop effective therapeutic treatments against this virus.
