To identify and evaluate opportunities to establish high quality research, training, and development programs and expand the pool of researchers and technical personnel for biodefense and EID research.

To create an outbreak response registry and list-serve to allow for rapid communication in region X and to train emerging pathogens teams that can assist during emerging infectious health threats.
