HAPPY RESOLUTION ON STROEDER TRANSPLANT CASE

Brandy Stroeder Officially Listed for Dual Transplant at Stanford

PORTLAND, Ore. -- In a unique public-private collaboration, the Oregon Health Plan, a group of community supporters including Shilo Inns owner Mark Hemstreet and Lucile Packard Children's Hospital at Stanford University have joined together to support Brandy Stroeder in her effort to receive a liver-lung transplant. Stanford officially listed her on the transplant waiting list today.

OHP has agreed to cover all of the costs of Brandy's pre- and post-transplant care at both Packard and Doernbecher Children's Hospital at Oregon Health Sciences University, where Brandy has been cared for since her birth. Money generously raised by a broad group of community supporters, along with Hemstreet, will go toward the costs of the transplant procedure.

The Stroeder family and OHSU wish to thank all of the parties involved, particularly the community supporters who made unsolicited donations, for giving Brandy a chance for life by providing her an opportunity to receive a combined transplant for the treatment of her cystic fibrosis.
