Girl Scouts Cadets Troop 6300 has been a vital part of the OHSU Transplant Picnic for seven years, providing children's activities and cheerful, capable all-around help. We couldn't do it without them!   Liver recipient and stained
glass artist Randy Smith (left)
donated this original piece to
the picnic, which organizers
and Smith presented to
posthumous donor families.
Bev Jones (right), of the
Pacific Northwest Transplant
Bank's Family Resource
Program, accepts on their behalf.

Darcey Bone of the Oregon Donor Program will give you the shirt off her back when it comes to educating people about donation!

Oregon Donor Program
staffer Karen Embler
assembled and stitched
together the third and
newest panel of the
Oregon Donor Program's
Gift of Life quilt. Each
piece commemorates
the life of an organ
donor or transplant
recipient.

Director and picnic master
of ceremonies Mark Kemball

isn't limited to our guests.

  "Noodles," granddaughter of
OHSU's first heart transplant
recipient, Wes Merrill, takes the
adage, "Let your smile be your
umbrella," literally.
  Kidney recipient and
ODP volunteer Billie
Bergman contributed
this panel to the Gift of
Life quilt.
