Research Conference
WIN INVITES PARTICIPANTS TO THE LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT PROJECT
You are invited to participate in a new Leadership Development Project designed for staff nurses, clinical nurse specialists and managers during the Annual Communicating Nursing Research Conference of the Western Institute of Nursing.
The Leadership Development Pilot Project involves a set of learning activities to help staff nurses, clinical nurse specialists and others in clinical practice understand how to use data and findings to strengthen practice and promote organizational goals. Each participant will have a “guided” experience at the conference, including:
- Use of Pre Conference Materials to assist Clinical Staff and their Managers in reviewing the conference program and determining how the sessions can answer a current practice issue or questions;
- Short briefing/debriefing session each day;
- Planned connection of practice attendees to each other for supportive networking post conference; and
- A lunch roundtable session for nurses from practice settings to discuss what they have heard and to ask questions, including how ideas could be introduced in their facilities.
Registration: Anyone signing up for this experience should make a note on the top of the registration form: “I am participating in the Leadership Development Initiative” and pay the member rate for the conference. WIN will then directly follow-up with the individuals to help prepare them for the conference experience.
Please contact WIN with questions: Email – win@ohsu.edu; or phone: 503-494-0869.
See you in Albuquerque!
